Typically, the best candidates for thigh lift surgery are those that have lost a massive amount of weight and are looking to have an excess of skin and fatty tissue removed from their inner or outer thighs. Other necessary qualifications for patients seeking thigh lift surgery are:

  • Being in overall good health with no major medical conditions
  • Having realistic expectations for the outcome of your surgery
  • Not being a smoker, or at least willing to quiet well before the day of surgery.

During your consultation, Dr. Tahernia will order a variety of preoperative tests to ensure that you are a healthy candidate to undergo surgery.

Thigh Lift Techniques:

The outer thigh and inner thigh require the use of different surgical techniques in order to best conceal the incisions. For the outer thigh, Dr. Tahernia will use a waist line incision so that the scar can be concealed along the bikini line. The excess skin from the upper thigh is then removed and the remaining skin is then tightened and smoothed. For the inner thigh, an incision is made high up on the inner thigh along the elastic line of where a bikini would hit. The large amount of excess inner thigh skin is then removed and the remaining skin is tightened and smoothed.
